Edinburgh
A local guide, not a desk to rent.
DayPub helps people who work away from an office find a pub where the daytime room is comfortable. The first city is Edinburgh.
Who it is for
For a few hours of work
Browse pubs that are already open in the afternoon. Find a room that can take a laptop, then send a visit request.
For the pub
A listing reaches people who would not have thought to bring a laptop. Workers browse free. Pubs pay to be listed.
How a visit works
01
Find a pub
Look through Edinburgh pubs by neighbourhood, hours, and the details the venue has confirmed.
02
Send a visit request
Say when you would like to come and how many people are with you.
03
Walk in and order at the bar
A request records what you asked for. It does not hold a seat, and the pub has not confirmed it.
A listing shows what the pub can stand behind.
Hours, address, and the things the venue has confirmed: Wi-Fi, sockets, noise, and whether a call is welcome. If the pub has not confirmed something, the page says so.
What DayPub does not do
No desks to rent
The room stays a pub. DayPub does not fit it out or turn it into a coworking space.
No membership to join
There is no club to run and no pass to buy. You walk in during the hours the pub already publishes.
No payment for food or drink
You order at the bar and pay the pub. DayPub does not take that money.
No promise of a table
A listing never reserves a seat. Unknown details stay unknown, and there are no star ratings or review counts.
